Hello Class One!
I hope you are doing OK and have enjoyed the Easter holidays.
Now it is the summer term, I would like to move towards giving you a more structured approach to your learning and I am keen to see how you are doing with your work.
I would like you to show me that you are able to produce work to a Class One standard:
Every week, English and Maths work will be uploaded to the Class page.
Maths work will link to White Rose Learning and English will be linked to a relevant focus.
The information on the sheet should give a structure to your weekly learning.
Each week, you will be asked to return one piece of work (alternating either English or Maths) via the class email (class1@cotgrave-pri.notts.sch.uk) or, where appropriate, Purple Mash. The piece of work you need to return will be highlighted in red on the weekly information page for each subject.
Work will then receive feedback via the class email address or Purple Mash to support the following week's work. Work needs to be emailed in by FRIDAY of each week.
You can send in any other work, but I can't guarantee that I will be able to give feedback on this.
Parents, please remember the two methods that are already established for communication (the reply to text service and the contact pages on the school website) are where parents should contact the school if they have any queries about anything other than the work being set.
You will also be assigned a Maths quiz (using Diagnostic Questions - Some Year Sixes might remember this from last year) that will review your fortnight’s learning.
I will not give you feedback every time on this but I will be checking that you are doing it.
You will be sent a log in and link via the class email.
All children will still be set purple mash guided reading homework, as usual, to complete during the week.
I am really looking forward to seeing all of your efforts over the next few weeks.
If you have any queries, questions, concerns or need to contact me for any reason - please use the Class One email (first preference) or the Purple Mash email if the Class One email isn't an option.
Enjoy your learning!
Mr Grundy.
