Hedgehogs

Welcome to Hedgehogs!

Welcome to The Hedgehogs class page. We hope you are enjoying your learning journey at home and are making the most of spending time with your family.  We are missing you all lots and can't wait to see your smiling faces again! In the meantime we hope that you can use this page to continue your learning at home.  We would love to see your summer term learning so please email the requested  piece of work (and any other work/photos you would like to show us) and we will give you feedback on how you are getting on once a week.

I would like you to show me that you are able to produce work to a Class Two standard:

  • Always using a take care approach
  • Using a pencil, unless you have a pen license (please do not use biro if possible).
  • Writing in cursive handwriting and considering ‘PPP’ in your presentation.
  • Using a ruler to draw lines and underline titles and words.
  • Always read your work carefully and aim to include correct spellings, especially of your year group’s spellings within your English written work (see documents below).

The requested piece of work needs to be emailed in by FRIDAY of each week. If you send any other work, unfortunately no feedback will be given on this.

Year 5, each fortnight, you will also be assigned a Maths quiz that will review your fortnight’s learning.

All children will still be set purple mash guided reading homework to complete during the week.

Look after yourselves, take care of one another and keep smiling.

Let's hope for more sun soon!

Many thanks,

Mrs Grant, Mrs Cottee, Mrs Wilby and Mrs Plumb

Class Two Email

class2@cotgrave-pri.notts.sch.uk

This email address is purely to receive work and should not be used as a method of general communication with school. The expectation is one piece of English returned for feedback every two weeks and one piece of Maths returned for feedback every two weeks to our class email. Please return the red activity recorded in your weekly information sheet.

The two methods that are already established for communication (the reply to text service and the contact pages on the school website) are where parents should contact the school if they have any queries about anything other than the work being set.
